How can I extend life of my battery?

To extend the life of the battery it is recommended to run the laptop from battery power often, don’t keep it plugged in all the time as that can overcharge and swell/expend the battery, unplug the charger every few days and run it down then plug it back in to recharge, doing this often will extend the life of the battery.
